Providing a great and successful onboarding for our new Guardians is essential to us. We have developed a comprehensive program that starts before you join us and continues for your first 6 months.
This program includes :
- Social onboarding
- To make you feel welcome, we include you before & during onboarding to social events & meetings that would help you to build valuable relationships with colleagues and managers, and feel part of the organization.
- You will be assigned a mentor, or technical buddy, when you first start. This person is ideally from your immediate team but they may not be. It is this person’s job to make sure you feel right at home and welcome on all fronts. There is no such thing as silly questions in this relationship!
- You will meet your team and will be introduced to your team rituals.
- Several communications will be done to introduce you to all Guardians and you’ll be presenting yourself during the first monthly global company meeting you’ll be attending.

- Strategic onboarding
- In your onboarding plan, we will provide you with all the information to know our organization, our vision & goals and culture, through a full pre-organized schedule including meetings with all departments, videos to listen & documents to read.
- You will have access to our Notion with all information about GitGuardian and you will have access to our strategic presentations & the company’s goals.
- As you join GitGuardian, you inherently become part of our awesome culture. In addition to GitGuardian’s values, culture, behaviors and other great resources documented on Notion, we make sure you have time to discuss it all with us 😊.

🔝 Getting operational
- On your first day, you will be greeted by the HR team and your manager, be provided your equipment, a welcome pack and office life orientation.
- Your personalized 2-weeks onboarding plan will be ready & communicated to you by your manager.
- Your manager will present your progression objectives for the next four months (what you'll have to learn & why, what deliverables are expected), including indicators of success and timescales for achievement.
- This will be followed up each month with your manager, who will provide you with feedback, get yours, ask you to share your first impressions in a discovery report about your onboarding, and ensure that you have all the information, tools, resources or help you need to thrive at GitGuardian! 😍
